Why accounts get banned
Bans exist to keep the platform fair. Questera rewards players for real skill — so anything that distorts challenge results, exploits the system, or misrepresents identity gets flagged.
Most bans are triggered automatically when our system detects suspicious patterns, then reviewed manually before being applied. If you were banned, you'll get a notification with the reason.
BAN REASONS
Multiple accounts
Only one active Questera account is allowed per person. Using two or more accounts results in all of them being banned.
Smurfing
Playing on an account with a skill level that doesn't reflect your actual rank to access easier challenges.
Third-party tools
Any software that interacts with the Dota 2 client or Questera platform in an unauthorized way — overlays, scripts, or anything that could affect challenge results.
Rigged matches
Committing to a challenge while having prior knowledge of the outcome, or coordinating with other players to control match results.
Account sharing
Letting someone else play on your account, or using someone else's account. Both accounts involved may be banned.
Avoiding a ban
Creating a new account after being banned. The new account will also be banned.
Fake documents/identity
Submitting false information during KYC or misrepresenting yourself during verification.
Suspicious payments
Using payment methods that don't belong to you, or activity flagged as fraudulent by our identity verification provider.
VPN to bypass regions
Using a VPN to access the platform from a prohibited jurisdiction.
Bug abuse
Intentionally exploiting a platform glitch for an unfair advantage. Found a bug? Report it — we appreciate it.
Stat manipulation
Deliberately altering game results before a challenge to make stats look better or worse than they actually are.
Support abuse
Harassment, threats, spam, or abusive behaviour toward support agents.
Spam
Sending unsolicited links, invites, or advertisements to other users.
Inappropriate username or avatar
Offensive or irrelevant usernames and avatars will result in account removal.
Note on warnings: In some cases, before a full ban, your account may be placed under monitoring. You'll get an email alert. If suspicious activity continues, the account is permanently blocked and cannot be restored.
